Having worked for major blue-chip companies, the team set to establish a new partnership that allowed direct access for buyers and producers. Our early years saw us working with tomato producers who formed a Farmer Consortiums. Wanting to control the supply chain for their product and ensure quality, they sought only to process their tomatoes through a select number of processors. Once canned, it would be our responsibility to sell their product globally. Our role soon expanded beyond that of merely selling a can of tomatoes. We become embedded in the consortium, sharing their passion for the product, following the planting of seeds in the field to the final canned product sold around the World.
I have known and worked with Luigi for many years as a procurement in Italian sourced products.
